Clinics are always an opportunity for riders to expand and grow, and to find new ways to attain their own goals. If variety is the spice of life, then Schunnemunk Shadow Stables' diverse clinic schedule will definitely wet your appetite for knowledge. Our clinic schedule refelcts our belief in holistic horsemanship by offering programs that address many different areas of interest and disciplines. .We are a place of learning and a place to grow.

In addition to upcoming scheduled events, we have ongoing weekly natural horsemanship workshops, semi-annual horseshows, 4-H Club events, New York Military Academy programs, Therapeutic riding and volunteer training, and much more. We are always looking to offer a variety of events. Below is a list of a few clinics we offer:

Parelli Natural Horsemanship - A systematic program that teaches people to train their own horse through psychology, communication and understanding. Schunnemunk hosts PNH clinics and we have weekly workshops. Five star clinician, Dave Lichman and three star clinician Nita Jo Rush have both held clinics here at Schunnemunk. Nita Jo will be holding another clinic here Summer 2005

Centered Riding - From the advanced competitor to the weekend rider, anyone's riding can be improved by this method. Centered Riding is for all levels and types of riders, and can be applied to any type of horse or horsemanship. Its goal is to make riding more comfortable and enjoyable for horses and riders, and the method teaches a language that allows clearer communication between horse and rider. It is an innovative way of expressing the classical principles of riding using body awareness, centering and imagery. Our Centered Riding clinics are instructed by Saundra Code - senior level IV instructor. Please refer to the calendar to see the next scheduled clinic.

Dressage Clinic - Schunnemunk and sister barn, Hollybush, host many Dressage Clinics with leading clinicians. We have scheduled a clinic with leading trainer, Paul Belasik for March 2007 . Belasik usually hold 2 clinics a year at Schunnemunk, see the Calendar page for more information.
