Camps

We provide camps during the year for adults and children alike. During the week, students will be instructed about all aspects of horsemanship including riding, horse health and management, tack care and cleaning, horse behavior and most importantly SAFETY.

Camp weeks are open to any rider (over age 6, unless they have approval of instructor), discipline, and experience. We will group campers in the same age range for the same week. Instructors will break the group apart according to discipline and experience for riding but the group will stay together for horsemanship and horse science. This makes it easier for friends to join the same week even if one is more experienced than the other. If you need a specific week due to vacation plans please choose the week(s) that best suite your schedule and we will try accomodate your needs. The first campers that sign up will help depict which week will be for which group.

Long pants and heeled boots are required. We do have a rental stock available but arrangements must be made a week prior to your camp. Safety helmets can be provided, but it is recommended that you purchase your own.

Programs

There is a place at Schunnemunk Shadow Stables for all types of riders and horse lovers.
