Hollybush was established to maintain and promote the art of Classical Dressage, which is sadly being lost today. One seldom sees the true beauty of a horse stepping happily forward to his work with willingness, self respect and joy. We are one of the very few establishments that honestly know and correctly train Classical Dressage.

The difference between modern dressage and the High School are very evident from your first few minutes in the arena. We will never deviate from the Classical School and we protect the teachings of the great masters with a missionary zeal. In Classical Dressage you are not simply asked to do something as an end unto itself but as a means to the end of perfecting the basics. Therefore everything is explained to the student. Reasons for a movement are given in order to improves your riding via a better understanding of your horse.
