Shadow Stables and Hollybush Classical Dressage Center offers professional
boarding where care for the "horse" is top priority. Our horses enjoy
a "green" lifestyle with all organic hay, pesticide free pastures,organic
fly protection and mineral enriched well water. We offer qualified staff
to help the owner rest easy, knowing that their horse is being cared for
properly. With clean and comfortable stalls (featuring
NEW Promat Stall Mattresses), fresh water, timely
meals of top of the line Purina feed, and regular turnouts on lush green
pastures - your horse will feel like they are on vacation everyday. You
can be assured that all your horse's needs will be met in our care.
The feeding program is based on the individual needs of each horse. We feed top of the line Purina feed and the best quality
hay available. Horses are fed 2-3 times a day as needed. Our
facilities follow guidlines placed by the New York State Horse Health
Assurance Program. Our certified facilities offer quarentine designated
stalls for all new and incoming horses. These horses are monitored for
any signs of illness before joining the rest of the herd in the boarder
barn after their quarentine period is finished. This ensures the safety
and health of all our resident boarders.
Our boarders enjoy use of our beautiful faclities including exclusive
use of a heated tackroom. We offer complimentary vet and farrier horse
handling/holding to our boarders and daily night checks.
Our convenient locations between train stations and bus stops make us
easily accessible to our Manhattan customers - only 60 miles North of
NYC. Our local customers find our facilities ideal as we are within 10
minutes of major routes and highways like 17, 9W, 84 and the NYS Thruway.
We even offer a Guest House for traveling our horses & owners or for

- Stall
-12' x 14' airy box stall with 2 dutch doors
- Stalls
cleaned -thoroughly 2x a day (also picked out throughout
the day). Pine shavings are distributed on top of 6in stall matress
system.
- Water
buckets - scrubbed once a day and filled as needed (a
min. of 2x per day)
- Regular
feedings - hay and grain 2x a day. (Lunch hay available
as needed).
- Worming
-we perform bi-monthly fecal floats and horses are wormed every
6-8weeks. We are on an alternating cycle of Ivermectin, Strongid
and Safeguard.
- Turnouts
- Horses are turned out everyday as weather permits. During the
summer due to the flies and mosquitos, horses are turned out at
night
- Medication/Supplements
- horses in need of daily supplements or medication (supplied
by owner) will be administered as directed.
- Facilities
- access to indoor and outdoor arena as well as the miles
& miles of scenic trails. We are adjacent to Schunnemunk State
Park & have access to an abandoned railroad bed (tracks removed)
that is home to some of the greatest trails!
